Call on Mr.Ban Ki-moon, the Secretary-General of the United Nations to eradicate the  discrimination practices in the UN system using English language

·        What are the main causes of  discrimination in the UK , UN system and international labour market?
·        How does the white man dominate  international job market
·        How does  discrimination against black people  happens in UK, UN system  and international labour market  including in the UN Agencies and international organisations?

1) Communications skills

It is all about English language skills.  All  UK and international jobs adverts highlight  the requirements of excellent communications skills in English language ( verbal and writing), even where these skills are not needed.   Most  job applicants from the South will struggle to meet this requirement even if they have  very good academic skills. If English is your second language it is impossible to compete with a British job seeker in  UK or  in international jobs. You will fail the interview because of your foreign English accent. At the interview panel , the interviewers ( white in most cases  with native English accent)  will expected  you to speak in British accent. British people do not tolerate people who speak with a foreign accent. They are not even pleased that you are trying to speak their language. If you have a degree from a university based in a developing country, your  chance to be invited for an interview will become zero.

2) Your name:

If your name is difficult to read or it does not sound or look the white people's name, your chance of getting the job is 70% reduced.

Conclusion.

English language which believed to be an international language, but spoken approximately in the South,  has become a tool for discrimination in the UK and international labour market, and other international opportunities. The UN’s  discrimination practices in recruitment process mirror the current the situation that is taking place in the UK. We believe that the UN can change their own situation. However, changes are  not possible in the UK because of their institutional discrimination and racism. Job seekers at UN should be interviewed in the language they prefer and national degrees should be treated in the same way as Western degrees.

Mother Nature seemingly holds another key for cancer prevention and treatment . Chinese scientists learned that 57 kinds of medicinal plants commonly used in creating traditional Chinese medicine have anticancer components, reported Xinhua. Dai Shaoxing from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in Beijing, however, said that additional research should be conducted to determine their full potential to cure cancer. The fruit of the medicinal plant Siraitia grosvenorii , for one, contains mogrosides, whose extract--the natural compound mogroside V--was tested for its antitumor effect and its probable capability to treat pancreatic cancer, accor...

Date palm, bitter kola, zobo top local herbal ‘cures’ for Yuletide blues T 0 Comments Today is Christmas. The Yuletide is here again. The season is synonymous with over indulgence in alcohol, food and sex. Hangover, weight gain and sexually transmitted infections such as Human Immuno-deficiency Virus (HIV) become the order of the day. But scientists have validated bitter kola, date palm, zobo, grapefruit, among others as ‘cures’ for hangover and to prevent weight gain. They advise against unprotected sex and promiscuity, and recommend being faithful to one partner and the use of condom. CHUKWUMA MUANYA writes. THE temptation to drink and get intoxicated with alcohol is high especially during festive periods. The habit, however, comes with the resultant hangover.      Hangover is the experience of various unpleasant physiological and psychological effects following consumption of alcoholic beverages, which can last for more than 24 hours.    ...
